Second Post: Response to The Work Of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction
Photography, as an art form, has gone through many artistic changes and many techniques have been formed over a development of 150 years. When looked at today, photography is used as more of a culture. The techniques that have been developed are now being taken into the digital era to be apart of everything in our society.
Stop motion has been used in multiple tv commercials over the past 3 years.
Music is being introduced with photographs to make a more slide-show feel in a large group of work, mostly in the newspaper/magazine buisiness.
Photography, either as an art form or a way to show our culture is growing; is sadly easier to get into and easier to do with digital point and shoots, that it is hard to find a photographer now that can compare to ansel adams or annie leibovitz because it has become so commercial and now experimental.
